Introduction:
This is the second Dharma teaching delivered at Rainbow Villa, and its theme is An Overview of the Buddhadharma. At first glance, this may seem to be an easy subject, for its scope is so vast that virtually any discussion could be said to fall within it. Yet precisely because of its breadth, it is also extraordinarily difficult. One must distill the boundless teachings of the Buddhadharma, extract their essential meaning, and present them in a clear, systematic, and coherent way. Thus, this topic is both easy and difficult. Regardless, I will attempt it — I will speak on it.
Although I have studied the Buddhadharma for many years, taken refuge in many teachers, and delved deeply into the treasury of the sutras, this subject still demands careful contemplation, deep inner concentration, and eloquence of expression. To present a complete vision of the Buddhadharma within a limited time is no small task, for this teaching is as vast as the ocean itself. I sincerely hope that everyone will be able to comprehend the principles shared in this discourse, benefit from them, and carry them into future practice. If these teachings are truly applied, realization may arise. In this lies the profound significance of this Dharma teaching.
